I emailed Donnie's aunt that I know and she gave me some information on him. Below is the email from her to me.
Hi Christa, I'll be glad to help if I can. I know he lived in Wisconsin with his dad and he and Kevin had come back up here, to see about work, I wasn't here then, when the accident happened. He was 21 and it happened on Labor Day weekend,1990. It happened in Clear Lake. Kevin had gone to bed, (they were there with other friends), and when Kevin woke up, they couldn't find Donnie any where, and then they happened to look in the lake, and saw something suspicious, (Kevin was going to go and look), but, his friend wouldn't let him, and so this friend went down , and said that yeah it was Donnie. He really loved the U.P. He was a quiet kid, didn't have much to say.. He always seemed to be off by himself for most of the time. He was a lot of fun when it was one on one with him. That I do remember. I don't think Mary really got over losing Donnie, It's been really hard on her. I wish I could give you more in formation on him, but, I was away from here, when they were growing up. I couldn't get to his graduation either, because I was living in Phoenix at that time.
