Daddy

As I walked down the road
There I saw her stand
The cutest little girl
On this whole entire land

With tears running down
A purple heart clenched in her hand
She says my daddy died in Iraq
Where America took its stand

Daddy went over there
To fight for me and mom
But didn’t come back
And mommy is finding hard to stay calm

I try to be strong
For both her and I
But I’m so sad
And that’s no lie

I can’t believe my daddy’s gone
At such a young age
He promised he would help me with my diary
Especially the first page

I really don’t know now
What mommy and I will do
He loved her so much
And me I really knew

He was so handsome
I loved his warm touch
I wanted to be around him always
I loved him that much

I pray to God everyday
That he’ll bring him back
But he must need him
They probably have a pact

I will never stop loving him
And he’ll always be in my heart
Whether we were together
And even now that were apart

I just wish we could stop fighting
That war and let it be
So no other little girls
End up without a daddy like me

Bible

The bible was delivered
From up above
Chosen to decipher
The words of love

Written in many languages
Big and small
Everyone came to believe
One God after all

He descended on
And created in six days
Only to rest the seventh
So everyone could remember his ways

Where good there was bad
Where happy there was sad
Where hot there was cold
Where young there was old

Morning would break into sunlight
Everyday
Only to find out
It would never stay

The world was harder in those days
And a lot has changed
Many peoples beliefs
And definitely their ways

Satan is always watching
From near and a far
Where most Christians think
Jesus’ miracles happen on a star

Moses parted
And the Jews got away
Only to live long
And start a new day

So if you believe
And pray really hard
Miracles can happen
Right in your own back yard

Frank,

You have a lot on your mind don't you. I do agree that the economy is not exactly in great shape, but if I can remind you of a little thing called the Great Depression, we made it through that and we will make it through this as well. I realize that we do need to vote, because only the citizens of the United States are going to be able to fix this problem because the SEC sure as hell got their heads up their ass. Here's a little something I wrote that will put everything into prospective.

Bad War

I can’t stop crying
Thinking about the lives we’ve lost
Fighting a war
Thats exceeded its cost

Why is it still going on
Why don’t we pull away
America has its own problems
Here on our own land today

Billions and billions
Being wasted
We can’t keep this going
Why is money we don’t have keep on flowing

I realize terrorism
Isn’t going away
We all know after 9-11
It’s here to stay

But with gas prices out of control
We have to reverse our spending
The war is taking its toll
Banks aren’t even lending

People can’t even drive to work
Some losing their homes everyday
Why cant the government
Just make it all go away

It’s time for America
To get together as one
Stand up for what we believe
And get this thing done

With recession around the corner
And Black Friday near
We better be ready
It’s going to be a bad year

Super Hottie

Her looks and beauty
She had her own style
A great personality
And wonderful smile

I could tell she was kind
From the inside out
A very special person
Without a doubt

Who was she
What was her name
If I didn’t talk to her
I was the only one to blame

Her beauty flowed
Just like a river
So damn attractive
She made me shiver

I could tell there was mystery
Behind her eyes
I hope she don’t tell me
A bunch of lies

When she walked by
My breath left my body
She could only be described
As a super hottie

The smell of her perfume
Filled the air
I could tell she treated herself
With extreme care

I couldn’t hold in my emotion
I had to see if she could someday be my wife
So I slid up to her and asked
What are you doing the rest of your life

Hi Everyone!

It is nice to see that some are utilizing the Message Forum.

First, David LeClaire, Thank-you so much for sharing your poems, and writings. Believe it or not, I have stacks of writings myself. It is amazing what a pen, pad of paper, and a few scribbles will do to the over-all human health; for me anyway! :-) Saved me thousands of dollars in mental health bills LOL (wink, wink & j/k). No, seriously I love to write, and I can appreciate your poetry to its fullest.

Politics.. OMG! We are all affected by the stupidity of the bailout, and we won't see a fast recovery either.

I personally endured the pain of the mortgage market drop. My husband and I were building a house, and our builder skipped the country with our monies. We then had to physically finish ourselves... After all the blood, sweat, and tears (not to mention money) were put into our home; a couple hours prior to the closing on our house we found out that our house payment was doubling due to the mortgage market failing! It was devastating to say the least, especially since we weighed our options on buying vs. building, budgeted, and did things "smart" for well over a year; yet we paid the ultimate price for bad decisions of the financial institutions that gave out loans to those who could not afford them!

I agree that we need to rely on natural resources; but we are not educated in these areas.

In advance, I apologize to anyone I offend with my writings. I want our Message Forum to be a place where it is safe to spew our beliefs freely, and still remain friendly in all other conversations.

I could, go on & on pertaining to our country, government, the elections. But, I think it is safe to say after most recent "bail-out" events; all of us are pretty much on the same page. But, feel free to fill in where I leave off.... Ha ha ha

The subject being Natural Resources Frank - I whole heartedly agree to start looking on our own turf (American Soil) for survival means. BUT, we have "tree huggers" to name one group that are in the way of making it possible. And to those of you whom are still dreaming in study hall - Our government supports these types of groups.

I think we've all taken our Freedom for granted. We've used our freedoms, which in turn has turned us lazy. We tend to sit and listen to debates, and candidacy talk and believe it, rather than take the time to do research ourselves. We vote, then question why did we vote this way in the first place; because we just took the candidates words as golden and believed in them... If we used the technology that we have to research the facts spewed by politicians; you'd find they've stretched the truth. In fact, we aren't educated on what is real, we are told lies, by all candidates. My scenerio is this - WE as Americans tend to believe what we've been told, or what we hear, similiar to a "small town" rumor mill. We need to get off our lazy butts, research on our own, and stand up for what we believe, what is in our gut, rather than what our government spews.

We all run scared, and are freaked out about the elections, and I feel it isn't going to get any better. Bad outlook? NO. Just the way it is. We need to stand on our own two feet, speak up for what is right, research prior to voting, and grab your ankles and kiss your ass goodbye - because our Government, has got us here, and most certainly won't be in a big rush to get us out of the trouble we are in now anytime soon.

It is time for everyone to start researching candidates prior to voting. I will not vote for Obama, and I invite everyone to research him throughly; I was shocked to learn many of his beliefs, and his track record. McCain? - He is no winner either, but of the two? Hey Frank Carr, are you up for the job? LOL

Just spewing myself everyone. If I had more time, I would bore ya all more with my thoughts..... Have a great day everyone... And may GOD save us all.

FREEDOM

People we look at today
White, black, yellow and pink
We really don't know what
To think

We should always know
What side to stand on
We really don't know
How long this world will
Hold on

What we know for sure
Is that our soldiers die
While on tour

Freedom
Freedom, doesn't come easy
Freedom, doesn't come free

The war goes on overseas
And our soldiers and dying everyday
The stand we take
The freedom we have
The lives that our lost
Come at a cost

Is the price of lives
Worth a tank of gas
Is our hearts that break
Worth the lives we take

Freedom
Freedom, doesn't come easy
Freedom, doesn't come free

When we decided
To take a stand
We decided to take it
On our own land

The flag that flies high
over our head
Is it worth all our soldiers
That are dead

We have to decide
What's right or wrong
We have to stand tall
We have to be strong

Freedom
Freedom, doesn't come easy
Freedom, doesn't come free

Now when you think
Of the war we fight
When you think of what's wrong
And you think of what's right

Remember the soldiers
That have died
The fathers that have wept
And the mothers that have cried

Remember

Freedom
Freedom, doesn't come easy
Freedom, doesn't come free

Racing through Life

My heart fills with joy
As I look in the mirror today
Knowing I'm having fun
Things are going my way

To know God is watching
Over every step I take
Knowing I'll be safe
Knowing I'm loved everyday I wake

I finally feel alive
With a true reason to live
Stop all the taking
And just give, give, give

Open my heart
Let my feeling flow
Get on the boat of life
And just row, row, row

Race down the road of life
Turn every corner with no fear
Laugh and smile all the time
Don't ever shed a tear

Just live like there's no tomorrow
Live everyday like it's your last
Go through life happy
And have an amazing blast!

Hey! Anybody been watching the flooding in North Dakota and Northern Minnesota? I'm right in the middle of this mess. Parts of Fargo are being evacuated. So far here in East Grand Forks it hasn't gotten that bad yet. We have about another 6.5 feet of water before we need to think about leaving. Wish us luck.
