Robert E. Swain, age 70, of Howell, MI, passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 30, 2009. Born January 18, 1939 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of Graham L. and Dorothy R. (Hulliberger) Swain. A Howell area resident for 28 years, Robert had moved to Whitehall, MI following his retirement from Honeywell, returning to Howell in 2009. Robert was a 1957 graduate of Lansing Eastern High School, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and an avid hunter and fisherman. Beloved husband of Hazel (Southern), whom he married on July 26, 1957 at the Fairchild AFB, Spokane, WA. Loving father of Jacqueline (Bill) Cozart of Howell, Mark Swain of Ann Arbor, Daniel Swain of Alpine, WY, and Michael (Cathy) Swain of Romulus. Also survived by seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Visitation Sunday, 2-4 & 6-8 PM with funeral services Monday 1:30 PM at MacDonald's Funeral Home, Howell.
