Loah Jean slipped from the surly bonds of earth February 2, 2007 and was carried safely, in the arms of Jesus, her Savior, to her heavenly home.

 

She was born to Raymond (deceased) and Norine Wisner January 27, 1939. She was the first of 5 children, followed by Ruth Ann (Paul) Halstead, Larry (Sally) Wisner, Diane (William 'Bill') Price, and Kenneth Wisner (deceased).

 

Loah Jean married Norman E. Beck July 2, 1966. Norm lovingly and faithfully cared for her. Two daughters, Rebecca Jean 'Becky' and Angela Diane 'Angie' Terrill completed their immediate family. Later two grandsons were born into the family.

 

Loah Jean loved Alex and Jonathan Terrill from the minute she laid eyes on them in the delivery room. She loved her family and enjoyed many activities with them. Loah Jean graduated from Eastern Michigan University and taught school for almost four years in the Lansing School system. After the girls were born, she was a substitute teacher in pre-school through fifth grade special education classes. She did day care for several years also. She loved babies and young children. She taught Sunday School for several years. Loah Jean also was a volunteer for the McRee House.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 12:00 p.m. at Gorsline Runciman Funeral Home, 900 East Michigan Ave., Lansing, with the Rev. Zachary Bartels officiating. Internment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Lansing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

 

Norm and Loah Jean gave to several mission organizations. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to Youth Haven Ranches, Logoi, Friends of Israel International Aid, Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference Center, Moody Bible Institute, or to Hospice House of Mid-Michigan/St. Lawrence in honor of Loah Jean.
