Reunion ideas....
Posted Saturday, February 20, 2010 04:10 PM

So far, I suggested something informal on SFTD.  For example, gather at the Wagon Wheel about 8 or 9.  See where the night takes us, etc.  Saturday afternoon, have a potluck/bbq at the park at about 2:00, then go from there....kids and families welcome since they added to the play area.

Dana suggested having something more formal in the near future.  For example, camping weekend at John Martin.  Bring the families, bring the fun, etc, etc.

I'm pushing for both to happen, but general thoughts/ideas?

good to see people are getting things goin.  i know i didnt graduate with you guys and stuff but went to school with you guys and still talk to everyone any time i see them or hear from them so i dont know if you will have me included in the mailing list or what not.  i know our class reunion for la junta is going to have ours this year at music at the junction at potter park here in la junta the weekend of august 6-8.  music at the junction has been goin on for 7 years and has had band like firefall blue oyster cult and this year is head lining eddie money.  also included is the ever enjoyed martini shot out of pueblo.  it takes place friday night and all day saturday.  its a great time and very enjoyable with food vendors bouncy places for the kids the swimming pool and alcohol served both days.  it is put on for the arkansas valley hospice and most or all proceeds go to help them.  so it is all for a good cause.  but that is just another idea and something to kick around and see what u guys think.  if you think this may be somethin you guys wanna do contact me via email or phone and i could set somethin up for you guys or see what happens.  i know i got our group in for $40 bucks per person for both nights.  that includes entry for both nights entry to the swimming pool on saturday and includes 5 discounted drinks.  but again let me know if i could help with anything and we'll go from there

If the more formal Summer one is family-friendly anyway, we might as well invite any teachers that are still in the area, except if there are some that are universally hated.

Hi Lonnie,

My understanding is that we are now aiming for labor day weekend.  As soon as I hear anything official (i.e. when Raul let's me know) I'll post something here.  Things are pretty unorganized so feel free to add any thoughts or ideas you have.
