Felipe L. Flores (Jr. )

Felipe Lorenzo Flores Jr., 38, of Las Cruces entered eternal life Tuesday, July 24, 2007 in Albuquerque. He was born August 10, 1969 in Las Cruces to Felipe and Minerva Lara Flores. Felipe worked in White Sands after graduation from Mayfield High School in Las Cruces and then joined the United States Navy. He then attended New Mexico State University. He married Sally Rios and had a son he loved dearly. He loved to fish and hunt with his family. He had so much respect for his family and friends, he was loved by all. 
Survivors include his parents, Felipe V. and Minerva L. Flores both from Las Cruces; two sons, Felipe Guadalupe Flores and mother, Sally Rios both of Kentucky and Loren Phillipe Benito Flores and mother Beth Flores both of Hawaii; one brother, Daniel Jose Flores of Las Cruces; one sister, Stephanie Gonzales. Other survivors include numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and friends. Felipe was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Guadalupe and Amelia Flores and his maternal grandparents, Alberto and Dora Lara. 
Visitation for Felipe is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cathedral, 1240 S. Espina, where the Prayer Vigil is scheduled for 7 p.m. Family and Friends will join to celebrate the Funeral Liturgy 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2007 in the same church with the Reverend Michael Cerretto, celebrant. The Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Garden Cemetery, 5140 W. Picacho Avenue where he will be laid to rest. 
Serving as casket bearers will be Gilbert V. Flores, Joe, Frank X. and Bobby Corona, Robert E. Lingford and Juan Diego Lara. Honorary bearers will be Frank Corona, Gilbert G. and John Flores, John, Joseph and Jonathan Lara, Jerry Rios, Lawrence Lujan, Victor Enriques, Robert Estrada, Art Duran, Joe Sr. and Joe Flores Jr. 
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Baca's Funeral Chapels, 300 E. Boutz Road, Las Cruces. 527-2222.

Felipe,
Gosh I was shocked to hear that you had gone into a better life. Some may have not known you the way I did. You were always laughing and being a good friend. May God Bless your family. Rest in peace my friend.
