BRUCE PHILLIPS OBITUARY

Bruce Aaron "Brucie" Phillips, 45, of Las Cruces passed way Sunday, July 31, 2011 at his home. He was born May 26, 1966 in Las Cruces to Bruce and Ernestine Phillips, "Brucie" the youngest of six children granduated from Mayfield High School in 1984. He dedicated 24 years of service to Denny's where his co-workers and customers became his 2nd family. In 1991 he started his passion in coaching girls basketball, teeball and football. He enjoyed teaching kids the love of the game as well as coaching, he loved watching sports especially his favorite team, Dallas Cowboys. His hobbies included going and participating in altheltic events, going to the speedway, spending time with family and friends, going to the movies and he found interest in solving multiple varieties of puzzles. Bruce is survived by his brothers; Gordan, Joe and Roger Phillips and sisters; Selma Phillips and Lois Lockwood. Nephews; Shawn and Julian Phillips. Nieces; Casey, Sarah Phillips and Samantha Munoz. He was preceded in death by his father; Bruce M. Phillips, mother; Ernestine Phillips, aunt; Isabel Chavez and aunt; Lois Aubrey. Visitation will begin at 12 - 2 PM, Thursday, August 4, 2011 at La Paz - Grahams Funeral Home Chapel with services to follow at 2 PM. Victor Maldonaldo will be providing services. Burial to follow at Masonic Cemetery where "Brucie" will be laid to rest. Serving as casket bearers; Gordan Phillips, Joe Phillips, Roger Phillips, Julian Phillips, Alan Lockwood, Jesse Munoz. "Brucie" will be greatly missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched. Services are entrusted to La Paz - Graham's Funeral Home, 555 W. Amador Avenue, 526-6891.
