LAUDERHILL — A New Year's Day shooting sparked by a domestic dispute left a mother and her 19-year-old daughter dead and a grandmother suffering a gunshot wound to the arm, police say.

Eric Montgomery, 28, is being held without bond at the Broward County Main Jail on two counts of premeditated murder for the deaths of his wife and her daughter, who was home from college for the holidays.

The couple's 7-year old daughter was present at the time of the 6:30 p.m. shooting in the 1300 block of Northwest 55th Avenue, Lauderhill Police Capt. Rick Rocco said.

Dead are Natalia A. Hamilton, 34, and her daughter, Alexis Hamilton, a sophomore at Edward Waters College in Jacksonville.
