Sherry sent me a copy of our micro-reunion lunch yesterday, but I couldn't figure out how to add it to a "group photos" area in this application, so I attached it to my profile as one of the pix.

Look at Chappie's profile page to see it.

Would someone, smarter than I, put it where we can all see it with a simple click from the main forum page, please?

My thinking is September, 2020 for our reunion.

We have a big beautiful fireplace in the backyard that we could use in the fall.

I only helped clear the space and level the concrete. My talented (art major) wife built it. May attach a pix of it to my profile later/.

Anyone within travel distance of Annapolis MD, Quiet Waters State Park, today, August 24, 2019:

The KellyBellBand, featuring that fabulous young drummer, John Robert Buell, is performing late this afternoon until dark (when the park closes).

Admission is free.

Bring a picnic lunch, but there are usually food trucks, too.

I'll be there.

Take route 50, and exist at Allen something / Forest Drive, and go to just about the end of Forest Drive; there's a sign on the right pointing to Quiet Waters park.

Google Quiet Waters Annapolis MD and you'll get better directions.

And send an email to johnbuell@comcast.net so I can "add sender to contacts" and save your email.

Chappie's been sober for 31 years if I don't drink today!

Who'da thunk he'd still be alive after 11,323 days without a drink of alcohol.

Never had a light beer, and by the grace of God and Alcoholics Annonymous, never will.

I have some sad news.

Peter Witkowski passed away on December 19. He felt poorly around bedtime and was transported to a hospital. He passed away from a heart attack in the morning surrounded by family.

Peter attended the Pallotti multi-reunion on October 4, 2019. He was excited about the Nationals and also his daughter's wedding on November 2.

What very sad news to hear of Peter's passing. It sounds like he enjoyed a beautiful life that overflowed with the love of his family and friends and ended much too soon. May he rest in peace and may the memories that we all share of him bring us some comfort. Peter was a good person -- my prayers and thoughts are with him and his family. TV coverage (probably C-SPAN) starts at 5:00 PM.

A NASA satellite will make a soft landing on an asteroid that astronomy says may contain DNA (or something like that -- I cannot remember the particulars and I need to get back to work.).

The NASA Project Manager, Devin Poland, is one of my youngest son's best friends, and (ironically) is working in the same building, same floor, same operations room, as I was back when I was their Cubmaster and, later, Assistant Scoutmaster. Devin's dad, Jim, was also a NASA engineer and my Assistant Scoutmaster.

The asteroid is so far away that the landing will have to be completely autonomous, using artificial intelligence.

I think its also supposed to take samples, blast off, and return to earth orbit.
