James R. "Buddy" Scott, 49, Leavenworth Kansas died Friday, April 2, 2004, at St. John Hospital, Leavenworth, Kansas. He was born March 15, 1955, in Leavenworth Kansas, the son of Russell and Velma Harris Scott. On December 6, 1986, he married Joan Bacon.

Buddy worked for the City of Leavenworth at the Waste-Water Treatment Plant. He is survived by his wife, Joan Scott, of the home. Two daughters, Melissa Scott and Jaime Scott both of Leavenworth, one son, Anthony Reutlinger, Leavenworth, two brothers, Russell Scott, Jr and Orven Scott both of Leavenworth, one sister, Myrtle Lawrence, Garden Grove, CA.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Randy Scott, and one sister, Mary C Deck.

Visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Monday, April 5, 2004 at the Davis Funeral Chapel, 531 Shawnee Street, Leavenworth, Kansas. Funeral service will be held 10 am Tuesday at the Davis Funeral Chapel. Dr. William T. Nowlan will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Muncie Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Leavenworth Hospice, 920 6th Avenue, Leavenworth Kansas 66048.
