Peter J. Toy 65, Leavenworth passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020, at St. John’s Hospital.

Peter was born in Leavenworth, Kansas, on October 12, 1955, to Faris and Kathleen (Sowder) Toy.

He worked as a travel agent for various travel agencies before starting his own agency, Leavenworth Travel. He graduated from Leavenworth High School and attended Columbia College in Columbia, Missouri.

Peter enjoyed camping, boating, outdoor holiday decorating, and having a container full of garden vegetables and flowers. He also enjoyed being on the St. Patrick’s Day parade committee years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Cindy, son Nicholas (Rebecca) of Olathe, brother, Mark Toy of Leavenworth and brother-in-law Tom (Julie) Foster of Cloverdale, California and an aunt and various cousins.

Visitation at the funeral home will be Monday, November 30, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Funeral service will commence at noon. Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Weston, Missouri. Due to the current pandemic social distancing and masks are encouraged and required.

Memorials may be made to the local Animal Shelter or a local food bank. Arrangements have been entrusted to Belden Larkin Funeral Home.
