TONIKIA NICOLE JEFFERSON HUTCHINS, 24, Oct. 13, 2004, at Ben Taub Hospital, Houston, Texas, from injuries suffered in an auto accident.
She was born Aug. 27, 1980, in Lima to Tony L. Jefferson and Tina L. Hutchins. Her father and stepmother, Ana, survive in Houston, Texas. Her mother and stepfather, Tina L. and Melvin Cooper, survive in Lansing, Mich. Her other stepfather, Dewey (Connie) Taylor, survives in Lima
Miss Hutchins was a member of Philippian Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors also include a daughter, Dajue Newell of Lima; three brothers, Tory Johnson of Detroit, Tony L. Jefferson of The Bronx, N.Y., and Tony L. Jefferson Jr. of Houston, Texas; two stepsisters, Oreana (Enrique) I. Thompson of Houston, Texas, and Sharon S. Corbin of Miami; maternal grandparents, Emma L. Taylor and Larry (Louise) Long, both of Lima; a maternal stepgrandparent, Dewey (Connie) Taylor of Lima; a maternal great-grandparent, Ruth Dolly Hutchins of Lima; paternal grandparents, James E. Jefferson of Lima and Dr. Sharon E. Jefferson of Tampa, Fla.; paternal great-grandparents, John R. Banks of Lima and Claude (Anna) McGuirk of Forest; three special aunts, Marilyn Mack, Michelle Henderson and Ruth Yarbrough; a special uncle, Christopher Spencer; and her godmother, Latrina McDonald.
She was preceded in death by a maternal great-grandfather, Howard Hutchins; and an uncle, Leonard L. Hutchins.
