Bryan Hall

Bryan Hall, of Portland, Oregon, passed away in December 2009 at age 55. He was born July 1954.
Bryan majored in microbiology at UNL and went on to study at MIT.
He handcrafted imaginative toys out of wood, such as biplanes, triplanes, boats and trucks.
His largest and most complex piece was a medieval castle with a moat and working drawbridge, catapults and war towers. It was the featured auction item at the NAACP 2005 convention in Portland.

Michael Naber

Bryan is survived by his son Niles Hall of Loveland, Co and his daughter Jordan Hall of Denver. Also, brother Winston (LSE class of '67), brother Brad (LSE class of '71) and sister Mary (LSE class of '74).

Mark Stentz

I first met Bryan "Gutch" Hall in grade school. I met him through his neighbor Scott Wittstruck who was a close friend of mine. Bryan lived close to another friend Warren West who I understand died in a construction accident several years out of high school.  Ruth Larson was our 5th or 6th grade teacher at Randolph grade school.  Miss Larson split up our little group several times in an attempt to re-gain control of her class. There were rumors she had a nervous breakdown the year after our class. Bryan was a great kid as I remember; I lost track of him when I left Lincoln several years high school graduation.  Neat guy....

Rich Finnigsmier

I remember going over to Bryans house many times and we and others would take his scooter out ride it around. He was one of the smartest people i have known. He made me laugh alot.
