Steve, died in 73 or 74, I knew him from Kindergarden thru High School, as we both went to Cathedral than on to Southeast. Steve was always quiet, but he liked to have fun.Michael Naber
I remember Steve as the guy who always had the funny comment for every situation. He liked to laugh out loud and often.
Tom Olson
Steve died of complications of cystic fibrosis. I didn't know this when we were in school, but I met his sister , who was terminally ill with the same disease, while working at UNMC. Steve was a smaller guy with a barrel chest and a deep cough ( all typical for CF). Sadly, most kids with CF in that era didn't live past age 20. I remember him as a happy guy who always had a joke.
Tom Sellner
I too remember Steve as always having something funny to say. We had a few classes together and I enjoyed talking with him. I never knew he had CF. What a loss of a fine person.
Mark Stentz
I remember being introduced to Steve through a friend Leo Buis. He was a wonderful person who always had a smile on his face and something nice to say. He was someone who I never forgot through the years.

I was talking to Steve 's cousin, Saturday night,a she has been someone I have known for about twenty years, We got to discussing her Aunt, Steve's mother. My friend's name is Joan Scdoris, she graduated from Piius,1972, She and Steve were very close. She made a comment, about the special spark, that Steve had. I thought this was worth sharing, because reading the other comments , I thought those of us who had memories of Steve, would agree how true that was. Caroline Pillard Helget.
