ANNOUNCEMENTS

Reunion Countdown - 48 Weeks

Greetings Classmates,

Reunions often focus on the opportunity to reconnect with friends, often long lost friends. At the same time there is another reason reunions can be fun events. That other pearl in the reunion oyster is meeting very interesting classmates who you didn’t know very well when we were in school.

High school social norms too often divided us into cliques either by social pressure, busy lives, or self-protective disinterest – “If I don’t put myself out there I won’t be hurt.” Now that we’re older and have made our own way in the world the pressure is hopefully off and it can be fun to open up about our experiences with classmates. We all share a deep and common history growing up in the same times, same city, same schools and yet we all have our own unique life experiences built on that foundation. Reunions help us explore the many diverse paths others have taken. Kind of like going on a trip through other’s eyes without having to leave the table except to get another piece of pizza.

We’re trying to arrange the reunion activities so that mingling is easy and we all have the opportunity to meet classmates we’ll be happy to say afterwards, “Wow, I didn’t know that about …”

See you there. I’ll be the old guy with the gray beard so you can be sure to recognize me.

Sam Knight

Welcome to the Lincoln Northeast Class of 1969 Web Site!

We're coming up on 50 years since we were classmates at Lincoln Northeast High School and it is time for a reunion to celebrate that milestone.  This web site will help us be organized, enter and find out information about classmates and spread the word about the event.

The key to our site and reunion success is YOU!  We need you to let us know you found the site by registering and letting us know how to contact you.

  • Select the "JOIN HERE" option then find and click on your name NOW!
  • Enter your e-mail address and create a login account so we can keep in touch
  • Upload a recent "Now" photo so when we get together we can recognize one another

Add more information any time convenient including photos, videos, memories, and other bits of your life you'd like to share with your classmates under the "Edit Profile" option.  Your e-mail is NOT shared with anyone, including classmates, unless you authorize it.

So, WELCOME, and do your bit by entering your contact information NOW.

Even more vital, invite classmates that you are still in contact to come to this site and register as well.

Be well, all, and we look forward to hearing from you,

LNE Class of '69 Reunion Committee
