Mary Elizabeth Siebert Gower, 63, of Wanamie, passed away at home on Sunday morning following a brief illness of cancer. 
She was employed until her illness at Carpenter (Cer-Tech), in Hanover Industrial Estates, for the past 13 years. She was previously employed at local garment factories as a seamstress. She was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. 
Born Nov. 12, 1944, in South Plainfield, N.J., she was a daughter of the late Henry Siebert, of California, and Helen Siebert, of Lititz, Pa. Mary was the granddaughter of the late James and Edna Hippert McMullen, of Lititz. She was a graduate of Warwick High School, in 1962. 
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Gower Jr.; son, Harry Gower III; and granddaughter, Pamela Edwards. 
Surviving are children, Mary Williams, Wilkes-Barre; Helen and husband, Ronald Moore Jr., Hunlock Creek; James Gower, Wanamie; Susan and husband Jason Zaborney Sr., Wanamie; Michael Sr. and wife Leah Gower, Nanticoke; Donna Czapracki, Wanamie; 15 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; brother James Siebert, Lititz, Pa.; a niece and nephews. 
Mary was a loving mother and grandmother to all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She cared very much for all of them. Mary enjoyed gardening and spent many hours in the flowerbeds at home and also at her children’s homes. Her family, friends, co-workers and everyone who knew Mary will miss her. Mary’s beloved cat, Puzzles, will especially miss her. 
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday from the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery. 
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. 
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations, if desired, may be made to the SPCA, 524 E. Main St., Fox Hill Road, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702; or Hospice Community Care, 601 Wyoming Ave, Kingston, PA 18704, in Mary’s honor.
