Ronald Colding

Ronald “Zack” Colding was born April 30, 1949, to Tommy Colding & Rose Mary McMullan and was reared by Guy Hines all whom preceded him in death.

Ronald confessed a hope in Christ at an early age. He was a member of Canaan Missionary Baptist Church where he served on the Young Adult Usher Board. In 1998 he united with the Greater Friendship Baptist Church under the leadership of the Reverend B.E. Bennett. In April of 1998, he accepted the call into the ministry of his Heavenly Father. Ronald remained a faithful member until his passing.

He was a product of the Little Rock Public Schools and a 1967 graduate of Horace Mann High School, where he held numerous student offices. Ronnie made many contributions to his community, where he was the owner of Ronald Colding Motors, Counselor in many drug programs, on the Board of Directors at Gyst House, Founder of the Serenity Foundation, and opened the Chem-Free Swinton/Hines home for drug addicts who wanted to turn their lives around.

In 1971, he was united in holy matrimony to his high school sweet-heart, Erma Jean Shelton. Their union was blessed with one beautiful daughter-his living-doll- Rhlonda Nichelle “Nikki” Colding.

Late in the evening of Tuesday July 16, 2002, the sun set in the life of Ronald “Zack’ Colding.
