Yes, it was just this past July (I believe the 9th). He died of a heart attack. I had just recently reconnected with him through Facebook and it was such a shock to hear about it.
I believe he was on the police force in Olive Branch, MS. I had talked with him on FB also as my husband is from Olive Branch. Was shocked to hear that he had passed.
