ANNOUNCEMENTS

Hi Everyone

So we have finalized the plans for the reunion and we thought that we would share the news.  Our 28th reunion will take place in Lloydminster on the Labour Day Weekend - September 2-4, 2011. 

We are planning an informal get-together at Original Joe's on the Friday night.  If you are arriving that evening, just drop by once you are settled into your accommodations.  Saturday is a free morning to go to the spa, play some golf or spend some time with the family at the park.  Saturday afternoon we will have a tour of the high school for a walk down the "memory hallway" and pose for a group photo.  In the evening we will all join together for dinner and for a short program that will include performances by some of our talented classmates.  Then on Sunday we will have a BBQ at noon in the park before we say goodbye. 

It is nice to see so many of you registering on the website.  If you know of the whereabouts of any of our classmates and think that they may not know about the reunion, please let us know.  We are still lacking contact information for many and we do not want to miss anyone. 

If you want to book a hotel room for the reunion, we have been in contact with one of the hotels in the area and they are willing to give us a reduced rate.  We will post more on how to get those rates as well as the site for the dinner as we get closer to the reunion date.

We are looking for people who may be interested in helping to decorate, putting together a program for Saturday evening or showcasing their talents.  If you are interested in helping out in any way, please just let Seb McGale know.

We hope that you can all find the time to come up to Lloydminster and we look forward to seeing all of you again.

Welcome to the Lloydminster Comprehensive High Class Of 1983 web site.  

I am so excited about the reunion next summer and I hope that all of you are too.  Please click on the "Class Reunion Survey" link on the left to give your input as to where and when you would like the reunion to occur.  The survey will be open until Saturday, July 31st.

Don't forget to give us your contact information and build your profile!  Just click on the "Edit Contact Info" and "Edit Profile" link on the left, and update us on how to get ahold of you and on what is going on in your life.  Feel free to put in pictures of yourself, kids, pets or anything else that will help us catch up with you.  Don't worry that anyone will laugh - most of us have gotten older, lost hair (or gained it in places that we never wanted it!) and have gained at least 20 extra pounds.

Please come back frequently and see what has been added to the site.  Since none of my computer literate children helped me make this site even though I asked, I am pleased to announce that there are going to be at least one or two free bedrooms in my house should you ever find yourself in Calgary with need of a place to stay!  Just give a call...

If you have contact information for any of our classmates that have not joined the Facebook group, please email me with their contact information or direct them to the website so that we can have a great turnout.
