Hotel Accommodations

A block of rooms has been reserved for our reunion participants.  To reserve a room at the special group rate of $99 per room per night plus tax, please call the hotel prior to Monday August 1, 2011 and mention our group code:  LHSClassof81.

Rooms are standard rooms with two (2) double beds and private baths.  Check in is at 4pm and check out is 11am.  Individuals who book a room will have full access to the Resort's swimming pools and tennis courts.

  • Golf

Devils Head Resort has two challenging 18 hole golf courses on their property - the Glacier mountain course and the championship Prairie Glen course.  The Resort is offering the Class of 1981 a reunion special of $24/person  for 9 holes and $39/person for 18 holes (cart included with both offers).  Tee times can be made within two weeks of the reunion OR if you book a room at the resort you can set up your tee time when you book your room.  Club rentals are available.

  • Mountain Biking & Road Biking

Devil's Head has miles of challenging single track trails that traverse the slopes, providing some of the most challenging mountain biking in the Midwest.  If road biking is more your style take a scenic two mile bike ride into the quaint village of Merrimac and ride the Cul-sac Ferry across beautiful Lake Wisconsin.  Helmets are required on our mountain bike trails.

  • Hiking

Devil's Lake State Park
Devil's Lake State Park is less than two miles from Devil's Head Resort and situated along the Ice Age Trail.  With spectacular views from 500 foot cliffs, the park has miles of hiking trails, swimming areas that include 2 large sandy beaches, mountain bike trails, cross country ski trails, great climbs and so much more.

  • Lodi Susie the Duck Days

9am - 5pm.  Parade @ Noon followed by festivities in Goeres & Habermann Parks.  Make sure to buy a rubber duck ticket for a chance to win the duck races down Spring Creek.

Directions:

From the Interstate: Take N/I-90 W/I-94 West towards Wisconsin Dells. Take the WI-78 S/I-39 N exit. Exit number 108A-B toward Merrimac/US-51 /Portage/Wausau. Merge left onto Hwy 78 S via exit number 108A toward Merrimac. Drive 8.96 miles. Turn right onto County Rd DL. Drive 1.99 miles. Turn right on Bluff Rd.

From Lodi: From the four corners in downtown Lodi, take WI 113 north out of town. Drive for approximately 6 miles to the Merrimac Ferry. Take the Ferry across Lake Wisconsin. At the stop sign turn left on to Hwy 78. Drive about .2 miles and turn right on Bluff Rd. Bluff Rd will come to a four way stop with County Rd DL (Devils Doorway Rd). Go straight through the intersection and take the first right at the Devils Head Ski Resort sign (about .2 miles). The Convention Center is just up past the parking for the ski hill. If miss the turn off to the Resort and reach TOWER RD you've gone about 1.4 miles too far.

If you want to skip the Ferry ride, take Hwy 60 out of Lodi to the Interstate and follow the directions from the Interstate above.
