Class Gift

We live in increasingly volatile times – economically, politically and socially, and each of these require an apt policy response, be it from government, private sector or civil society.

A Class Gift  to the MPA Programme at the LSE would represent your continued drive and commitment to improving the world that we live in through effective policy intervention, lobbying and advocating for the right causes. Our students will go on to take leading positions in governments and organisations that will be at the forefront in addressing these global challenges. It is our commitment towards the advancement of education of public policy practitioners and leaders of tomorrow.

With an expanding programme that will include four specialised tracks in 2009, an exceptionally talented student body and world-class faculty pursuing research on the most pressing issues of our day, LSE will continue to strengthen its position as a premiere institution, promoting thought leadership and challenge in public management and the policy sphere.  This community will need your generous support to continue to thrive.

The programme continues to attract deserving students from across the globe often with limited financial means. Current students look towards alumni to help drive curricular innovation and cultivating policy dialogue. Besides promoting the programme and the skills acquired to prospective employers, the programme will look to create a active, dynamic and enthusiastic communities of practice of LSE MPA alums around the world. These principles will be embedded within the mission of the programme going forward and as you will appreciate, require significant human and financial support.

To assure you that your contribution will be managed with utmost transparency and integrity, we have proposed the formation of a Gift Management Board. The Board will have representation of the MPA Society and alums (on a rotation basis). The Board will meet at the beginning of every semester to review the endowments and financial position of the Gift Fund, audit spending and expenses as well as continue to provide steer and oversight on the priority areas for support.

This webpage will be updated shortly with further details on the Gift Management Board, and information on how donations can be submitted.

LSE  welcomes unrestricted support through the LSE Students Union – MPA Society and restricted current-use commitments for Student Fellowships.
