Welcome to the Longmont High School Class of 1979 Website

We are about to collide....at Collision!

LHS and Friends 40 Year Reunion!!

Updates and Action Items - here we go!

Everything is set for a fun and exciting event on June 15th, at the Collision Brewing Co. in Longmont.  We have a party room that opens up to a patio area with fire pits and cornhole games, reserved from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.  Come when you can and stay as long as you would like!

Collision has booked a band to play music from "our time" - the 70's!  The only stipulation is that we have to guarentee $3,000 in sales for the evening - so come hungry and come thirsty!  There will be a taco bar available, just for us from 6:00 to 8:30.  The taco bar will include seasoned beef, tequila chicken, corn and flour tortillas, mexican rice, black bean corn salsa, pico de gallo, queso cheese dip, and all the fixin's.  If you would like to enjoy the taco bar, the cost is $20.00 per person at the door.  If you would like to come and are not interested in the taco bar, the cost is $10.00 per person at the door.  We are asking that all money collected at the door be in cash....pleeeease.

Now - here's YOUR action item.  We will need to provide Collision a head count for the taco bar by June 1st.  In the next day or so, I will send an email asking if you are planning to attend and whether you would like to be included in the taco bar experience.  Please respond to that email by midnight on Thursday, May 30th.  If you miss the deadline to sign up for the taco bar, never fear, you can still order from the menu the night of the event.  We will have a private bar in our room where you can order drinks and food.  All of the orders made in our room and the money paid for the taco bar will go towards our $3,000 threshold.

Just a reminder, any money collected over the amount that we owe Collision, will be donated to the Angel Fund at LHS.  Additionally any proceeds from Mike Eichler's book, "Dear Teen", The Order of Things..., will be donated to the Angel Fund also.  We are working with LHS to establish a method where our classmates who are unable to attend the reunion can make donations to the Angel Fund if they would like.  Stay tuned for more info on that.

Two more things, then I will let you go.  First we are planning on having a photo booth where you can take the perfect party pics with your high school buds.  If you still have any memorabilia that we could use as props in the photo booth, please bring it along.  Second, we think we may be able to arrange a tour of LHS on Saturday afternoon, if there is interest.  Please let me know if you would like to see how our old stompin' grounds have changed and if there is enough interest, we will work on setting it up.

OK - what questions do you have?  Shoot me an email with any questions, concerns, suggestions.  My email address is Sspriggs524@gmail.com

The amount of interest that has generated over this event has just been amazing!  I hope you can join us and reunite with your fellow classmates from the Class of '79!!  It will be great!
