It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Anspach of Fort Payne, Alabama, who passed away on July 22, 2020, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Harold Irwin and Pearl Ann Irwin; and her brother Allen Irwin. She is survived by : her husband Gary L. Anspach; her children, David Rutland (Sandi) and Tanya Gallagher (Carl); her grandson Ryan Rutland; and her siblings, Richard Irwin (Angela), Bill Irwin, Linda Ruhl (Dale) and Sharon Dillow (Dale).

We are extremely sad to relate the passing this afternoon of Carol Ann Irwin Anspach, 67, wife of 37 years of our Past Junior Vice Commandant Gary Anspach, of Dogtown.

Carol's passing followed a two-week stay in Gadsden Regional Medical Center ICU.

Carol was originally from Orlando, FL; lived a number of years in Danville, PA; and most recently resided in Dogtown, AL.

Carol is survived by her husband Gary Anspach of Dogtown;

Children - David Rutland & wife Sandi, of Boise, Idaho; Tanya Gallagher & husband Carl, of Danville, PA; Tammy Weigle & husband Greg, of Muncy, PA; and Vickey Anspach of Montgomery, PA;

Sisters - Sharon Irwin Dillow & husband Dale of Fort Payne, AL; and Linda Irwin Kuhn-Ruhl & husband Dale of Danville, PA; Brothers - Richard Irwin & wife Angela of Jacksonville, FL; and Bill Irwin of Danville, PA; Nine grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her brother Allen Irwin at age 16; her father Harold Irwin of Dogtown in September 2019; and her mother Ann Irwin of Dogtown in December 2019.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson Funeral Home & Crematory in Fort Payne, AL.
