PAUL WEIDNER OBITUARY

It is with great sadness that the family of Paul E. Weidner Jr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, announce his unexpected passing. Paul left us suddenly at the age of 71 on Sunday, October 2, 2022. Born in Germany to Caroline O'Donovan and Paul E. Weidner Sr., he was a lifelong resident of Central Florida. After graduating from Lyman High School in 1970, Paul started his 50-year career at Kirby Rentals, becoming President and ultimately co-owner in 2007.

With a love of water and the outdoors, he had homes in Oak Hill, FL and Woodland Park, CO, where he enjoyed quality time with family, boating, golfing, fishing, and hunting. During football season, Paul could be found in Gainesville, tailgating and cheering on his favorite team as a dedicated fan of the Florida Gators. He will be fondly remembered as an avid boater, world traveler, talented chef, sharp dresser, and to all who knew him, a sincere and generous man.

A loving husband who was devoted to his family, Paul will be greatly missed by his surviving wife of 10 years, Barbara; 3 children, Travis (Aoh) Byrd, of Orlando, Christine Byrd, of Orlando, and Brittany (Jay) O'Loughlin, of Sarasota; and 5 grandchildren, Brooklyn, Brady, and Brody O'Loughlin of Sarasota, and George and Elowen Byrd of Orlando. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Dianne.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Paul at the Smyrna Yacht Club on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022, at 11:00 am. All who knew and loved Paul are welcome to attend. The dress is Resort Casual. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Paul to the American Heart Association. Condolences may be made online at www.settlewilderfuneralhome.com.
