Victor E. Parsley, a former resident of Los Banos, died April 6 at a hospital in Boise, Idaho. He was 59.

Mr. Parsley was born on April 7, 1938, in Los Banos. He graduated from Los Banos West Side Union High School where he was active in sports and the school band. He had a beautiful tenor voice and was affiliated with various chorus groups. He also had a junior league lifeguard rating in the Red Cross.
We he was 16, he started racing hydroplane boats and was the youngest hydroplane pilot in the United States under his racing division. The name of his boat was Mighty Mouse. He was coached by his father who was also a boat racer. During his career as a boat competitor, Mr. Parsley, his father, broke five runabout division racing records. 
He entered the service after two years of college and served four years in the Air Force. He was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base where he met and married JoAnn Lang.
After serving in the Air Force, he and JoAnn returned to Los Banos and he worked at his father’s Ford dealership where he had been working at an early age.
Mr. Parsley and his family moved back to Boise in 1967. After a successful 30-year career in the car industry, he retired and began his second career as a massage therapist.
He loved massage therapy and established Escapades Day Spa and Massage Break.   He enjoyed making people’s aches and pains go away and making his customers feel better by bringing a smile to their faces with his carefree attitude.
Mr. Parsley was an avid Boise State University football and basketball fan and also loved the San Francisco 49er’s.
He was a generous human being. He was know to help the homeless, gave blood to the Red Cross and was always donating seated chair massages to worthy organizations and causes.
Mr. Parsley always had a smile and a joke to tell to make people laugh. He will be truly missed not only by his family for being a wonderful husband and father, but by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn Parsley; a son, Todd Parsley; two daughters, Vicki Parsley and Toni Parsley Knapton; a son-in-law, Brad Knapton; and three sisters,, Melvina Terry, Willa Mae Emery and Rebekha Parsley.
Funeral Services were held April 10 at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Boise.
