After SRS I headed down to Poplar Level road to St Xavier and then U of L. After a few semesters I took a long break. I partied and did all the stuff I couldn't do during my 12 years of Catholic school. Somewhere along the way I decided I needed to rock and started playing guitar then bass. I got Blood Sugar Sex Magik by the Red Hot Chili Peppers (last cassette tape I ever bought) and wanted to be the next Flea (bassist, not insect). I learned the art of slap bass and started playing in bands.
During this time I was working at Annabelles Restaurant as a cook and eventually Kitchen Supervisor.
After 7 years I decided I had enough of the restaurant business and went back to school to finish my CIS degree. After 1 semester I quit Annabelles and a month later I landed a job at Accent Marketing as System Support intern. That morphed into a computer programming job and I was on finally on the right track career-wise.
Around the same time, I got into a serious band and playing all over the region. We cut a CD and got played on 100.5 the fox. Our singer left for a bigger band with an independent record deal. He also recorded with Travis Meeks (Days of the New). The band we shared our first rehearsal space with(Flaw) got a deal with Universal Records and made 2 records and a few MTV videos.
In 2002 I went to their drummer's wedding and met this girl who had come in from Texas. She came alone so I volunteered to show her around town. We went to a Melvins concert at Headliners, then Orlando, then went to see my friends band play Ozzfest in Columbus. A year later I moved to Texas and we got married in Las Vegas where her parents lived.
We had a house in Katy, TX in 2004. A year later on the very same day that the first World Series game ever played in the state of Texas (go Astros) we went to the hospital and Maya Jade was born the next day. Its been crazy ever since.

7th grade, Ms Kleusner's class. Ms K was sending me up to the office so I could pretend to call my parents ( my "mom" was very understanding and would simply inform me of the current time and temperature)
Anyway, as I left my seat, Reid Ashley asked rhetorically, "what if he doesn't want to?". I thought he had a valid point as I was not presented any options by Ms K. So I turn to to her said "YEA, what if I don't WANT to?".
Immediately I realized that my response may not have been such a good idea. Ms K then looked up at gave me a look that actually killed a few squirrels outside. I bolted out the door at started towards the office. I made it as far as the stairs when I turned around to see Ms K descending upon me. I have no idea how she got there so quick but that may be the fastest a human being has traveled on foot this side of Usain Bolt. I don't remember what she said to me then but I was sure glad that I had already gone to the bathroom.
By some miracle, perhaps devine intervention, I did not receive a dentention slip that day. I went up to the office and made my call. The time was 11:23 AM the temperature was 55 degrees and steady.
