Comments:

I have been in Lubbock and have not left. My mother became sick so I took care of her before she passed. So just have not moved.
I only have two more years before my youngest graduates and heads off to college, so I plan to start traveling then. If not sooner.
I work at the Juvenile Jail and love it. I plan to start back to school for a degree in Criminal Justice to become a Juvenile Probation Officer.

High points of your life since high school?

Being a mom to my wonderful kids.
Getting to really know my Mom before she passed away and understanding what she had tried to teach me all my life.

What’s your favorite memory of LHS?

I have so many....but I guess the best one is the half days on Friday

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at LHS?

Maybe not back comb my hair so high. Aqua Net was the hair spray of choice to keep your hair big. Pictures remind you and 20 years later you have to just laugh at the BIG 80's hair. But other than my tall-big-back combed hair, I wouldn't change a thing. LOVED everyone I went to school with and did pretty good with my grades.

Did you have a crush on anyone from high school but never asked them out? If so, who?

There were a couple.

Did you marry anyone from High School? If so, who?

Romeo Mitchell (class of 88)
We were only married for 6 yrs (but together for way more than that) but out of that relationship, he gave me the best thing he ever could and that is my children.

What was your favorite song of the 80's?

In Your Eyes; Anything Pink Floyd, Boston, Journy.

What was your favorite music video of the 80's?

I think the one that stands out the most, is Thriller. But gosh, I loved a ton of them.

What was your favorite movie of the 80's

The Breakfast Club, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink

What is the coolest thing you have done since graduation?

Coolest thing, would be taking care of my mom and finding who I am in that process. Passing that onto my children and knowing that the small things in life can make you the happiest.
AND...reconnecting with all my friends on Facebook this past year. THAT is way cool!!!

What do you consider your biggest accomplishment since graduation?

Once again, being a good mom & doing it alone. I'm proud of my kids and how well I've done raising them alone.
