Jill McBroom

Jill was born February 22, 1968 in Lufkin, Texas to Thomas “Tommy” McBroom and the late Linda (Baker) McBroom, and died Monday, November 14, 2016.

Jill was a lifetime resident of Lufkin. She was a vibrant, active person who enjoyed life to the fullest prior to her battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was an avid Texas Longhorn fan. She enjoyed horseback riding, all music, especially southern gospel, and Elvis was her favorite singer. Jill’s artistic abilities included oil paintings, designing and crafting jewelry, theatre – make up, hair and acting. She also enjoyed traveling, concerts, and most of all, people. Jill had the most contagious laughter and never met a stranger. She was of the Assembly of God faith.

          Survivors include her husband, David Blalock of Lufkin; daughter and son-in-law, Mackenzie and Thomas Dickerson of Fort Carson, Colorado; granddaughter, Allyssia Escobedo of Fort Carson, Colorado; grandsons, Aydryan Escobedo and Ryan Dickerson, both of Fort Carson, Colorado; father, Thomas McBroom of Lufkin; sister, Carol Alexander of Porter; sister-in-law and husband, Stefani and Ted Lovett of Lufkin; nephews, Austin and wife Meagan Alexander of Conroe, Aaron Alexander, Adam Alexander, all of Porter, Carter Willmon of Lufkin; niece, Chloe Willmon of Lufkin, lifetime friend, Tanya Anthony of Lufkin; and numerous other family and friends.
