Mr. Hudgins was born September 4, 1967, in Nacogdoches, Texas, to Ollie Estelle and Luther Hudgins, and left this world and entered Heaven Saturday, February 12, 2022. He will be greatly missed.

            After his father's passing and his mother's remarriage to Randall Hickman, Paul remained in Lufkin, Texas for most his childhood spending time getting into mischief with his cousin Kenneth, niece Lisa and nephew Roy. As a teen he made friends with Malcom Guerra and Michelle Calvert Ross, as the three were members of Calvary Chapel Church, where he was an active member of the youth group and loved Jesus as his personal savior. Paul attended Lufkin High school in which he graduated in 1986. This is where he met his best friend, Lynn Lovett and the two shared a love for NASCAR and took annual trips to Dallas to see a race. Paul served his country as a corpsman in the Naval hospital in Okinawa, Japan. He married the love of his life, Rachelle Tullos Hudgins. The couple remained married giving home to their fur babies. Paul went to work for Lufkin State Supported Living Center. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies such as NASCAR and Football.  Paul had a great love for music and Star Wars. He loved camping, fishing, and traveling.  Paul had a pure and kind heart and loved deeply.

            He is survived by his son, Daniel Holbrook; sister and brother-in-law, Kathie and Allen Forrest; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Mark Talley; brother, Michael Hudgins; along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

            Paul was preceded in death by his eldest sister Betty Doris; brothers, Robert Wayne and Luther Lavon; father, Luther; stepfather, Randall Hickman; stepfather, Arron Pigg; mother, Ollie; and his wife of 24 years Rachelle.

            Honorary pallbearers will be Lynn Lovett, Malcom Guerra, Don Hopson, David Talley, Kenneth Hutto, Roy Jordan, and Kaleb Hudgins.
