It seems that I have moved around the country over the past 20 years. Little did I know when I graduated from LC that I had 7 more years of school in front of me! (I'm sure I would have thought that was a few years too many.) After 4 years at Washington State University, I spent 3 years in grad school at the University of Minnesota studying animal breeding and genetics. Upon graduation, I spent a year working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, just north of Washington, D.C. The next 5 years were split between jobs in Wisconsin and Vermont and the past 7 years have been back in Wisconsin, working for ABS Global - an animal genetics company.
After all of that moving around for my career, I was certainly ready to settle down. God has blessed me with a wonderful wife, Pam, and two little girls, Sophie and Katelyn. Pam and I met in 2005, married in 2006, had our first daughter in 2007 and our second daughter in 2008. After all of that, I think we needed 2009 to catch our breath. We live just outside Madison, WI, and enjoy various church activities and spending time together as a family.
My job allows me to remain very involved in the dairy industry and gives me the opportunity to work with some of the best cows in world - a dream come true! More importantly, God's plan for my life has taken me on 'adventures' I wouldn't have imagined 20 years ago, not the least of which involves raising two young girls - truly an amazing adventure! Reflecting on the life stories of others, it seems that many of you are a lot further along the path of parenting. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion.
