In Memory

Susan Blaskevica

Arline Bognar wrote: "Susan became a Medical Librarian at CWRU after first studying Archeology and English and graduating at Ohio University. She travelled often and lived in California for a short time. Susan was the Medical Librarian for the Cuyahoga County Library system for many years. A garden was developed and dedicated in her honor when she passed away at the Parma Regional location that she worked out of. Susan became a wise woman, and was always there for others. Susan had more true friends from all parts of her life than anyone I know. There were people from all over city, all over the country at her funeral. She is still missed by many."

I am SO sad to hear about this.  We lost touch after she left Lakewood but I will always have great affection for Sue

I recall Sue's mantra, "If a little's good, a lot is better." I was watching TV at her house one winter morning when we were in high school, and she called me to come to the kitchen. She'd been broiling hamburgers for lunch, the burgers were hidden beneath a mound of ketchup, and the whole culinary effort was on fire! She rather calmly asked if it was baking soda or baking powder we should use to smother the flames? After we put out the fire, she said that a little ketchup's good, so she knew a lot would be better!
We exchanged Christmas cards, so I miss hearing from her at this time of year.
