I remember getting to Brush and first meeting Jeff. He told me he was my third cousin and I went home to ask my Mom about it, knowing I had other DeFranco third cousins. I remember her saying, "Oh, that must be so and so's son. I didn't realize he was your age also.' So after that we were 'Hey, cousin' ever after. Thanks for sharing the sad news bc I don't get much Italian-side information, since my Mom passed in 2004. One thing I'll always remember about Jeff, other than a great guy, was watching him 'fly' in the outfield for BHS. Man that guy had 'wheels'. My sympathy to all my DeFranco 'family'.
He was a great guy & one of the fastest baseball players I ever saw. Jeff could lay down a bunt & be at first before the catcher got out of his crouch.
So sorry about Jeff's passing. I remember him to be a pure gentleman, so kind, thoughtful and respectful. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
