I graduated from Brush and headed away to the University of Cincinnati to obtain a degree in Education. I obtained a degree in preschool education and continued on to get a degree in Special Education. While going to school, I worked at the University in the Dean's office for 3 years doing advanced standing and then working for his secretary. Upon graduation, I got a job working in Kentucky in a school for Special Needs Students. I remained there for 4 years. During that time I got married to a man that was in school for the first 4 years of our marriage. He obtained a degree as an Aero Space Engineer.(He had the opportunity to have Neil Armstrong as one of his professors.) My in -laws lived in Cincinnati and we remained there until my husband graduated and got a job in St. Louis at McDonnell Douglas.(Boeing) We had 4 children and after 19 years of marriage divorced in 1994. I continued to work in Special Education and raised the kids. Several years after getting divorced I started going out with a friend of ours that was also ending a relationship. It started out as a friendship, however, after a few years we decided we liked each other better than the people our friends were trying to fix us up with. We dated for a while and ended up getting married in 1998. I continued working in Education and completed my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.
I recently moved my parent's to St. Louis because they were getting up in years and I was finding it more and more difficult going back and fourth between Cleveland and St. Louis. I have been taking care of them and have decided this is a full time job. My Mom has Alzheimer's and Dad is 88. I will probably take next year off and spend as much time with them as I can.
My oldest son does advertising for 55 of the Dominoe's Pizza stores here. My next son went into the Army in Ft. Benning Georgia to do his basic training . After completing most of basic training he had some medical problems ( he had surgery 5 years ago to correct a kidney defect.) He had an honorable discharge and has re enlisted in the National Guard. Son no.#3 is going to college for Business Administration and working part time. He got engaged recently; but she is going to graduate in the spring with her B.S. She is going to complete her Master's Degree before they are getting married. My daughter is also in college in Springfield, Missouri, due to graduate next December with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing.
Three years ago my oldest brother passed away at the age of 56 of a heart attack. That was a difficult time for everyone. I find I am spending more time with family and doing things that have meaning. It made me realize what is and is not important in life. I enjoy reading and always have a book with me. I enjoy cooking and find it enjoyable to find new wines to have with dinner. I also enjoy making jewelry as a hobby and am spending time doing that as well as gardening. I am grateful for my husband and best friend. We enjoy spending time together with friends. We love to travel and have gone to Jamaica, Dominican Republic several times, Aruba, many cities in the United States and also Alaska.
Recently , I have reconnected with some of the people I was friends with in High School and continue establishing deeper ties with many of you.

School Story:

I did not do many activities at Brush. I worked after school about everyday at Diane's Gifts and Cards at Severance. I was dating someone from Heights High School during my time at Brush.
The friends I hung out with were Sheryl Klein, Claudia Koler, Helene (Deanie) Soloman, and Fern Davis. We all lived on Okalona. We also were friends with Barb Goodman, Debbie Tucker and Maureen Wolf.I guess high school was not a very exciting time for me, I was pretty quiet and shy.
