looks like I will be coming to the reunion...looking forward to it!!!
a little about me: I have been living in Israel since 1975...after working seven years in Haifa as a Music Therapist by day (which I studied at Ohio University after HS), and a singer/guitar player by night, and after about 11 months back in the States in 1981-82, I moved to Tel Aviv and switched occupations. I went for a 9 - 5 office job, using my English and composition skills, etc., which I found to be easier financially and emotionally less stressful. I got married in 1986 to a guy nine years my senior, had a child relatively late in life (at 41) and after childbirth found a great job as import manager in a well-known telecommunications company, where I worked for 11 years. Since the end of 2006 I have been happily unemployed, but now I am looking forward to getting back to work. I have a new job waiting for me, also in import, when I get back to Israel after the reunion...
I am lucky to be able to come back to the States every year, sometimes more often, so I have been able to stay in touch with my parents and my four younger sisters and their beautiful families over the years. Sadly, my wonderful father passed away last Summer, but Mom is doing well, still living in Florida where they have lived for years, first as snowbirds, and later, after selling the house on Okalona, as permanent Floridians. I have one sister in Geneva, Ohio, one in Lyndhurst, one in Plantation, Florida and one in San Diego, so I have a lot of different places to visit when I come to the States! My beautiful son, Ariel, after several years as a successful competitive swimmer and sucessful competitive dancer, recently gave up sports alltogether to become a super-difficult adolescent, which is ever so challenging for us, to say the least...but he is still the light of my life and I am confident that he will "find" his way eventually and turn out OK.
