Nancy Baeckler (Barch-Rukavina)

Eddie and I met in 7th grade at Memorial and were married on March 22, 1975. We were married for 27 fabulous years  and have 3 beautiful sons!  Eddie passed away very suddenly from a heart attack on April 24, 2002. To say that I miss him is an understatement. I am so sad that he never got to see his sons graduate from college or to meet his adorable Grandsons.  I take comfort in knowing that they with help to carry on the Barch Boy legacy.  God help us !!!

I met Eddie Barch in 10th grade via mutual good friends Bob Baltitus and Bob Dytewski. I well recall his GREAT sense of humor, his wide smile, and that he was always friendly and generous to everyone!

I also recollect whenever seeing him in the halls, we both took great delight in addressing each other loudly by name - as we each went by 'Eddie'.

I'm glad to have heard that he and Nancy got married - even back then, it always seemed to be 'in the cards' for that to happen.

I'm sure he is very much missed by many, and remember fondly by all.

Rest in Peace, Eddie Barch.

I remember Eddie as a dear and wonderful friend. He, Nancy, Bobby Dytewski and I spent many happy days together. His laughter and huge smile could light up a room. He was so big and I was so little but, somehow, it didn't matter. The days of cutting classes, breakfasts, and necking in the car seem like yesterday. I will always love you, Eddie. -- till we meet again! I know Nancy misses you.
