Everybody who is on this page should be commented on! I wasn;t a close friend or even a remote friend of Ken, but I do remember him. He was a kind person who never had an unkind word to say about anybody, I remember chasing him around shop class at Greenview with a broom and then being punched by Mr. McKenzie for my behavior! I hope Ken didn;t suffer. Mr. McKenzie did the right thing!
Kenneth was in quite of few of my classes at Brush, and allow me to express myself as I too feel the need to echo Almis's sentiments.
Kenneth was one of those kids that, for one reason or another, seemed to get 'picked on' more than others. I recall on occasion of being guilty of doing so myself - and shame on me for doing so!
Though big in size and strength, Kenneth was an extremely kind and gentle soul that always had a warm smile for everyone. I hope he had a good life after Brush that continued until he passed away.
Rest in peace, Kenneth Sterba. You were a really nice kid!
I went to Richmond Road school with Ken. I have good memories of Ken. I was in some classes with him and he would quiz me on what we were going to be tested on. RIP Ken, I'll never forget u and your family.
I remember one day playing football with Ken up at Hawkin School.......it was a rainy, muddy day, and we were all covered in mud and in the middle of a neighborhood game.......somehow, there was a turnover, and Ken had the ball.....He literally out ran everyone on the field, and scored a touchdown on that slick, muddy field......I remember it like it was yesterday....he was a stocky guy, but no one could catch him......and it's still amazing.....
