Sadie Cagle

March 31, 1931 - December 19, 2014

After welcoming countless people into her heart and home, Sadie McQueen Cagle, 83, was welcomed into heaven on Friday, December 19, 2014 by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. A Celebration of her Life will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Gray United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Ricky Varnell and the Rev. Jason Wade officiating. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. to service time at the church. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to Gray United Methodist Church, c/o River of Life Ministry, 117 S. Jefferson St., Gray GA 31032.

Mrs. Cagle was born in Sylvester, Georgia to the late George D. and Atha Mason McQueen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward James Cagle, Sr. Mrs. Cagle was a member of Gray United Methodist Church, the Fellowship Sunday School Class, Methodist Women, and was the co-founder of Prayer Watch. She was retired from the Board of Education after twenty five years of service. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who lived a life of service, extending love to all she met.

She is survived by her children, Jeannie (Ray) Waters of Macon, Edward James (Suzanne) Cagle, Jr. of Ocala, FL, and Ray Carson (Penny) Cagle of Chesapeake, VA, seven grandchildren, Matt (Gina) Waters of Macon, Tyler Marie (Brad) Luquire of Athens, Chelsea Cagle, Laura Cagle, Mary Cagle, Isabel Cagle, and Garrett Cagle of Chesapeake, VA, and two great grandchildren.
