Class of "99" 10- Year Reunion

One of our greatest gifts we can offer to each other is the gift of remembrance!

 REMEMBER WHEN?

Why would anyone want to go to a high-school reunion?  Do I really want to spend an evening with them?

Why, I remember that boy that wouldn't talk to me back in my sophomore year.  Wonder what ever happened to him? He was a cute one.  Hope my husband doesn't hear me talking about him  I wonder if he'll be there.  I would like to see him again.  Just for old time's sake.

There was a big, tall, guy in our class, too.  Pretty good athlete, he was.  Ran like the wind.  He didn't have any problems getting the girls to talk to him.  Boy, he was a smooth talker. Someone should have studied his technique in a little more detail.  Maybe it would be fun to see him again.  Wonder what he's been doing for ten years.

Then there was that couple that got married right after graduation.  I guess they've been married almost 10 years, now.  They always seemed to be made just for each other.  I've seen them a few times, over the past 10 years, but it's been a long time.  I betcha they'll be at the reunion.

And, who was it that.......Maybe I'd better not talk about that time.  Maybe we could get off in the corner, where almost nobody could hear, and laugh with him about that night.  Oh man! Makes me laugh to think of it.  Nobody got hurt, either.

I'd really like to see him again, too.  We had some good times together, and we're still long-distance friends.  Never seemed to get romantically involved, and that was probably a good thing.  We laughed a lot, acted silly most of the time, and spent some time mad at each other.  Sure would be good to see her again.

I remember you too.  We used to spend hours just driving around town,  talking about everything.  Some of those ideas are still with me today.  I hope you still remember a few of those times.

Funny, isn't it?  We think we've forgotten all about it, but the memories return.  The friendships return.  The sorrows seem to fade away, and the laughter comes to the front.

Maybe I will come to the reunion, after all.  It would be good to see everyone again.  I hope that I can see everyone.  I am really looking forward to it.  As a matter of fact, I just made my reservation at the hotel.

After a few memories, I see why everyone would want to attend a high-school reunion.  I want to reclaim some of my youth, and I want to see you again.   You're all a part of whatever I have become, and I'd like to thank you for helping me grow older.  After all, growing older is mandatory; growing up is optional.

BRING BACK MEMORIES!!!!

Welcome to Noxubee County High "Class of 1999" web site!

NCHS Graduates can register if they plan to attend an reunion event or not.  Doing so means you will not miss out on important class information.

Since we have scattered all around the country, and even the world in some cases, it has become more and more difficult to keep track of everyone's current contact information when trying to plan class events such as reunions. This site has been developed to help us keep that information on file and current. We ask that everyone please be sure to fill in your details and to please keep it updated if you get a new phone number, new address, or if anything else changes. We will be sending out email messages at least once a year to everyone registered on the site to remind you to please come by and check on your information to keep it current.

A War For Your Soul-Birmingham version from Erisai Films on Vimeo.

This video was created to inspire young at-risk African-Americans not to fall prey to some of the problems they face in society. The use of the voice "Master of Darkness" represents the abstract concept of evil.

This video should not to be used to divide people (Black & White).
This video should not be used to criticize all aspects of hip-hop culture.
This video should not be used to condemn the millions of Black youth that are striving for excellence in their classrooms and communities.
This video should not be used to degrade the millions of children that do not have the proper educational resources offered in their community.
This video should not be used to scare Black youth into a position of change.
This video should not be used to allow the rest of society to escape from their responsibility, to reach back and help with financial & academic support.

If used properly, this video will allow our youth to see some of the horrific conditions that our ancestors fought through & some of the horrific conditions we face today.

All Americans should be upset, that Black children are being murdered in Chicago, Detroit, Birmingham, Norfolk, Baltimore, Los Angeles, Seattle, Philadelphia, New York and many other cities throughout the nation.

All Americans should be upset, that in many of the above mentioned cities, schools are struggling for proper funding, thus leading to an unfair start in our academic based society.

Many have asked "Why should I care?"...but can you imagine, the first person to find a cure for cancer, could be living in one of these areas, that we are afraid to reach out and help.

There are many organizations that still provide our youth with the concept of dreaming, or teaching them to reach for their goals. The organization I am involved with is called "SPEAK THE DREAM" an org designed to teach parents & children to reach for the stars. Please take a look at our website at speakthedream.org

As fellow Americans, we must continue to love each other, and take that love and spread it to the rest of the world. Peace & Love - Erisai Films

THE NOXUBEE CLASS OF 1999 IS A GENERATION THAT IS STILL REAPING THE EFFECTS OF SOME OF THE MOST HORRIFIC MOMENTS OF ALL TIME......LET US BE MINDFUL OF THIS  IN OUR EVERYDAY LIVES AND TOWARD OUR FELLOW MAN SUCH AS OUR CLASSMATES.
