David played defensive end and offensive lineman on Madison's 1978 and 1979 championship football teams. He also played first base on the high schools baseball team. He won the school's Most Impressive Offensive Lineman of 1978 award. Conlin was also named All Conference First Baseman for three consecutive years. Mr. Conlin died of injuries suffered when the car he was a passenger in ran off East Hasley Road in Parsippany on May 21st 1980. David was well liked and admired by those who knew him. He had recently finished his freshman year at Lafayette College.
