Our class established a scholarship fund in memory of class members Michael "Mickey" Coomes (1966) and Carlos "Buddy" Rucker (1969) each of whom gave his life during the Vietnam War. (Check out the special tributes to them on the "In Memory" page). We urge all class members to continue to support this fund. It is a great way for our class to "give back" some of our good fortunes to the upcoming generation, and a fitting memorial to our fallen warriors.
Important: please continue to send donations. If you can't give a lot, then give a little. If we all do this, we can really make a difference in a young person's life.
Donating is easy: write a check to "Class of 1959 MHS" and write "Scholarship" on the memo line, then mail it to Keela Duncan Troop, 1727 Hillside Drive, Madisonville, KY 42431. Thank you to all who have contributed!
You may read all of the scholarship details in the guidelines.
