Frances "Frankie" Crossley, 69, of Owensboro passed away on Monday, Jan. 24, 2011, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born on Dec. 12, 1941, in Daviess County to the late James William Stewart and Gusta Rhoads Johnston. She was a member of Bridgepointe Church and had been a senior companion for Audubon Area Community Services. She enjoyed playing bingo, listening to live music, doing people's income tax returns and going to auctions and garage sales. She loved spoiling her grandchildren and participating in her church's activities. She was preceded in death by her ex- husbands, Phillip Wilhite and William "Bill" Crossley; and an infant sister.

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Jo "T.J." (Bill) Hodges and Cindy (Junior) Wilhite, all of Owensboro; two sons, Frank (Amber) Wilhite and Timmy Wilhite, all of Owensboro; seven grandchildren, Crystal Sowders, Alex Wilhite, Tru Wilhite, T.J. Wilhite, Jr., Dewey Wilhite, Cecil Wilhite and Destinee Wilhite; six stepgrandchildren, Bobby Hodges, Stephen Hodges, Rusty Hodges, Jonathon Hodges, Tabitha Hodges and Jamie Thompson; several great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bill (Karen) Stewart of Louisville, Bob (Judy) Stewart of Jacksonville, Fla., and John Stewart of Antioch, Tenn.; a sister, Martha Rivera of Madisonville; an aunt, Margaret Wathen of Owensboro; and four nephews and two nieces and several cousins.

Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenn Funeral Home and Crematory, with burial following in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation was from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
