Eva Joyce Emery Brent,  64, of 308 Ute Trail, Frankfort, beloved wife of 42 years
of James Donald Brent, died Sunday, October 30, 2005, at
the Hospice Center at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Mrs.
Brent was born December 24, 1940, in McClain County, KY.
She attended Western Kentucky University, where she was a
member of the Alpha Epsilon Sorority. She later graduated
from Kentucky State University where she received her
Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts. Mrs. Brent was also a
Kentucky Colonel. She retired from state government after
25 years of service. She was a member of Good Shepherd
Catholic Church of Frankfort. Survivors, besides her
husband, are two daughters, Traci Elizabeth Hayden
(Patrick Jr.), Lexington, and Laura Barrington Brent,
Columbia, SC; and two step-grandchildren, Christopher
Patrick Hayden and Kathleen Elisabeth Hayden of Lexington.
Other survivors are Edwin and Lana McGary, Lisa McGary
Ladd, Daniel McGary, Robbie Lou McGary Key, all of
Madisonville, KY, and many other nieces, nephews, family
and friends. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:30 p.m.
Wednesday, November 2, 2005, at Ransdell Funeral Home,
Campbellsburg, KY. Memorial graveside services will be
held immediately following at the Masonic Cemetery,
Campbellsburg, with Father Patrick Stewart officiating.
