In high school, Patsy Jennings Short had that great-looking, baby blue Ford convertible that was always parked on the street as you headed uphill toward B.B. Barnes. Recall that?

Patsy was 65 when she passsed away on June 24, 2004, from cancer. She was born in Hopkins County, 24 Jan 1939 to Ida Skillon Jennings and Thomas Newton Jennings; both had already preceeded her death as had her sister, Alice Mae Jennings.

Survivors include her husband Aubrey L. Short Jr. of Panama City, FL., one brother Steven Jennings of Madisonville and her sister-in-law Wanda Jennings who was also her caregiver. Patsy also had one niece, one nephew and one great-nephew.

She made her living in life as a beautician and selling jewelry.

As a member of the Grapevine Christian Church, the church's preachers, Bros. Jack Holt and Kirk Dice officiated. She is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. Harris Funeral Home conducted the arrangements.

Research provided by Theresa Ray of Madisonville.
