Phillip (Atlas) Babb passed away 26 Nov 2017 in Madisonville and was born Feb. 12, 1941, in Madisonville to William ‘Bill’  and Mary C. Babb.  He attended the United States Naval Academy, was a USN vet., a counselor with the Earl C. Clements Job Corps in Morganfield, KY, and a member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

He’s survived by a sister Marian Baucum of Camdenton, Missouri, a brother Robert E. Babb and wife Linda of Sacramento, KY, 4 nieces, 2 nephews, 6 great nephews, 4 great-nieces, and 5 great-great-nephews.

Atlas’ funeral was 28 Nov. 2017, at Harris Funeral Home.  Rev. Alan Johnson conducted the service with burial at Madisonville’s Odd Fellows’ cemetery. Pallbearers were Brian Babb, Eric Folks, Logan Schwettman, Garrett Schwettman, Chandler Howard and Harry Ipock.
