One of my fondest memories of Toby was setting behind him in Senior English class. Using his very low voice, he would complain about our teacher. I would get the giggles and a few times couldn't stop. Needless to say, I couldn't tell Ms. Finley what was so funny. Can't remember what my excuses were at the time.
When I was six years old, we moved next door to Toby, who became my daily playmate. He was great at coming up with the best way to string a cup-and-string phone from my house to his, as well as other kid projects--great fun. I lost track with him through the years, and was interested to read his obit listing his interests and memberships. My condolences to his family.
