I remember Tom as a good guy. In those days, he appeared to me as a tough kid, but looking back, he was a good guy.
I have this funny recollection of Tom in the (8th grade?) where he was in this short "play" for the class. His role was to raise his arm and stab someone with a knife. I remember that he played the part so well, that the teachers stopped the play saying, "okay, we'll stop here, this is getting too real for me." Tom appeared to be a natural actor. I always thought Tom would end up with an acting career.
In hindsight, failing to remain friends with someone people is sad. I'll say this again: "Life is short - do what you have to do."

According to county records, Thomas passed on April 18, 1982. No other information was available. He was buried at Stonewall Memory Gardens. RIP
