Robert Andrews

Robert John Andrews, Born December 11th, 1942 son of Walter and Helen Andrews, Husband of 57 years, Dolores (Angelo) Andrews passed on April, 10th, 2024 at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Robert grew up in Manchester, CT. He worked on tobacco as a young teen and then while in high school he worked part time in G-Fox in the ladies shoe department, and at the cafeteria at Manchester Memorial Hospital. He graduated from Manchester High School in 1961. He was a proud Army veteran. He was stationed as a lineman in Korea from 1962 until 1965. His entire life he was proud of his Military service in the US Army. He worked as an inspector for Pratt and Whittney, then went to work at the United States Postal Service for 30 years. He was a gold-card member of the Army and Navy Club in addition to the VFW. Robert enjoyed spending time with his wife and family in Narragansett, Rhode Island. During retirement, he volunteered at Rockville General Hospital as an escort. He also volunteered at Hockanum Valley Food Pantry and Food Share Truck. He is survived by his spouse of 57 years, Dolores Andrews. His children: Edward (Amber) Andrews, Brenda (Jerry) Barrow. His grandchildren: Dana Andrews, Christopher (Bianca) Snow, Aaron (Mariella) Snow. As well as his great-grandchildren: Jesus, Katie, Dustin, and Christopher Jr., Snow. Also, Brother-in-law, Michael (Shelly) Angelo. Burial will be private.

Barbara Johnson (Prentice)

Bobby lived two doors down from me on Kensington St. A bunch of kids played together across our backyards. I especially remember that the Andrews had a swing set that was a favorite place. RIP, Bobby

Bruce Murray

Bob had a Hartford Courant paper route and I took over when he was done. He gave me good advice on delivering papers and how to treat customers.
