L. Andrea Glidie, 79, of West Hartford, formerly of Manchester, beloved sister, aunt, cousin and friend, died peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022. She was born on April 8, 1943, in Manchester, one of four daughters of the late Andrew and Lilyan (Barnowski) Glidie. Andrea grew up on Branford Street in Manchester, attended local schools and was a graduate of Manchester High School, Class of 1961. Prior to her retirement in 2020, she was employed by the Aetna and Travelers Insurance Companies. Andrea had a loving passion for her pets, especially her dog Zena. She enjoyed watching UConn men's & women's basketball, college football and gardening. Andrea leaves her two sisters, Joyce Phillips and Janice Santini, several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families, her beloved dog Zena, and many friends and neighbors. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Gladys Pottinger, her dog Tyler, and many other pets along the way. A time of visitation will be at the Samsel & Carmon Funeral Home, 419 Buckland Road in South Windsor on Sunday, December 11, 2022, from 4-6pm.
