Jean-Ellen LeSure

LeSURE, Jean Ellen Jean Ellen LeSure, 62, of South Windsor, passed from this life on Thursday, (August 31, 2006). Born in New York City, daughter of the late James and Jean (Magee) LeSure, she grew up in Manchester and lived in Vernon for 23 years before moving to South Windsor 15 years ago. Prior to her retirement in 2000, Jean Ellen taught 9th grade English at Rockville High School for 35 years. She was an accomplished artist who enjoyed pen and ink drawing. Jean Ellen earned her undergraduate degree at Bates College in Maine, Class of 1965. She was a member of the First Congregational Church of Vernon. She is survived by her loving sister, Jeannette LeSure of South Windsor with whom she made her home, and beloved nieces and nephews in Connecticut and New Hampshire. Her family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Healthcare in East Hartford for all of their love, care and concern for Jean Ellen while she was in their care. A memorial service will be celebrated on Sunday, September 10, 2006, 2 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Vernon, 695 Hartford Turnpike, Vernon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurses and Health Services of CT, 8 Keynote Drive, Vernon, CT 06066 or to the Riverside Health & Rehab Center, Resident Council Fund, 745 Main Street, East Hartford, CT 06108. Lois Ledbetter (Lovvoll)

I was a childhood friend of Jean-Ellen - she was a very good friend, always very serious. I have to say we lost touch with each other once high school was over.

I was very sorry to learn that she died.
