David was a very good friend of mine. We lost track of each other for many, many years. I was very sad to hear that he had died. Did not know about his illness. We meet when I moved to Tennessee in the sixth grade. Played football together at Westwood. Road bicycles all over Manchester until getting my first motorcycle. Hauled hay together. Worked at Harry Lee Taylor's gas station for a short while( I drove the Icecream truck till I went broke.Used to shoot guns alot together and just generally hung out. Bought our first car together with Bill Binns. A 1953 Chevy Deluxe. Driver side door was held on with bailing wire. Fill it up with oil and check the gas. We stayed friends all through school and for a while after, then lost touch as so many of us did. David will always be missed by me, but he will always be rememberd.

David and I were best of friends all thru High School...He loved going to the farm with me in Beech Grove where he helped myself and my Dad until after I got married in 1974...In fact he slept on our couch for months and helped Dad while I went to school...On weekends our life was normal...we cruised the 4 lane in his old Mustang or rode around in my old white 4 dr Impala that he and I put together....Bob,Butch,David and myself worked on cars behind their house on Iris Drive until his mom and dad threatened to kill us....The many trips to see Bobby play football at Tech and all our hunting trips in which Corky Piper informed me we never killed anything....and we never made a trip up the 4 lane that we didn't stop and see Cork....David always called him Cork...Corky and I might as well been Grahams in those days...As life would have it and like Corky I lost contact with David....28 years ago...I never though at that time I would never get to talk to him again...I loved him as if he were my Brother...He will aleays be in my fondest memories and wherever I go...David Bruce Graham is with me.
